Tells us about your background. When did you join Kevin Currie Group and what did you do before joining?
I was born and raised in Michigan. I was never a huge fan of snow, so I have enjoyed living in Virginia for the past 10 years. Before my real estate career, I was a police officer. I’ve been with Kevin Currie Group since 2014.
Describe your job in 3 words.
Too much fun.
What is your favorite part about working in real estate?
There is so much variety. From the people I work with to the different homes, I see new challenges. Every day is exciting, but especially closing day. Handing my clients the keys to their new home can be an emotional experience, I’ve cried on a few occasions.
What are your favorite hobbies?
Camping with my family. My wife never camped much before we met so it’s been fun to share in something new to her that has always brought a lot of joy to me. We now share it with our kids. I also really enjoy golfing.
What is your favorite ice cream flavor?
Hands down, Ben and Jerry’s Chocolate Fudge Brownie
Do you have a favorite quote?
The golden rule. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
What is your favorite place to travel?
Costa Rica. There is so much to do and the people are truly wonderful.
If you could meet any person (alive or dead) who would it be?
My wife’s grandmother, Nanie. I’m told she carried around a kazoo to play for special occasions and apparently there were a lot of special occasions. There are so many inspirational stories about her, and she made such a wonderful impact on her family, I would just love to sit and chat with her.
Tell us one fun fact about you.
I’m an Eagle Scout. Always prepared.
What has been the best moment you’ve had working with Kevin Currie Group?
We have a client appreciation event every year. It’s a nice chance to relax, see the folks we’ve been working with and reflect on a lot of hard work.
